The Ministry says the arrangements are part of preparations for the official swearing-in ceremony of His Excellency the President-elect.

KAMPALA – 11th May 2026. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has designated several Ugandan ministers as Courtesy Ministers for visiting Heads of Delegations attending the swearing-in ceremony of the President-elect.
In a letter dated 8th May 2026 and addressed to the Inspector General of Police, the ministry requested permission for the ministers to use their official vehicles while carrying out their duties during the event.
According to the communication signed by Ambassador Charles Ssentongo on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, Honorable Edward Katumba Wamala has been assigned to Somalia, while the Right Honorable Rukia Nakadama will host the Tanzanian delegation.
Honorable Jim Muhwezi will receive the delegation from Mozambique, Honorable Bright Rwamirama will host Togo, and Honorable Wilson Muruli Mukasa has been assigned to South Sudan.
General Wilson Mbadi will host the delegation from the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, while Honorable Jacob Oboth Oboth has been assigned to Gabon and Honorable David Bahati to Burundi.
Other assignments include Honorable Hamson Obua for Kenya, Honorable Norbert Mao for Zimbabwe, Honorable Obiga Kania for Venezuela, and Honorable Jane Ruth Acheng for Namibia.
Honorable Kyofatogambye will host Rwanda, Honorable Grace Mugasa has been assigned to Eswatini, Honorable Fredrick Gume to Algeria, and Honorable Kasule Lumumba to China.
